Lisa Kopas, MD, FCCP

Lisa M. Kopas is from San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  While raising a family, she attended Baylor College of Medicine graduating in 2003.  She remained at Baylor for Internal Medicine Residency and subsequently continued her training in fellowships in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. In recognition of her achievements, she was chosen to be the Chief-fellow of the section. Dr. Kopas joined PCCS 2009. Her areas of interest include advanced lung disease, pleural diseases, and lung cancer. In addition, Dr. Kopas has achieved Certification in Advanced Bronchoscopy from the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. Dr. Kopas is not only an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College but also a member of the Houston Methodist Research Institute.  She acts as a primary investigator for multiple pulmonary related device and medication trials.
